Brooklyn-based punk outfit Freshkills may be named after a toxic landfill, but their riffs are still pretty sweet. Having played alongside Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio and Mission of Burma – and following previous LP’s  Creeps and Lovers (2006) and  Freshkills (2008) – the  band are on the brink of releasing brand new record, Raise Up The Sheets.  Looking to bottle the notorious, frenetic and  drunken essence of their live show, they solicited punk veteran Jim Sclavunos (member of Grinderman/Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, ex-Sonic Youth, Lydia Lunch, The Cramps and more).

Give a listen to The Bigger Man available for the first time thanks to Brooklyn Vegan and look for the band at the upcoming SXSW in Austin, Texas.
