earlimart Have you heard? Earlimart

Hailing from LA (but named for another Californian town altogether), Earlimart’s core duo of Aaron Espinoza (vocals, guitar) and Ariana Murray (bass, keyboards, vocals) joined forces back in 2009 and have studiously released seven LPs to date. Along the way, they’ve earned comparisons to awesome-sauce indie rockers Elliot Smith and Sparklehorse, toured with acts like Band of Horses, and have even released music with members of Grandaddy as part of Admiral Radley.

Their brand new offering, System Preferences, was just released digitally this week on the band’s own label, The Ship, and is dubbed “a lush and lovely soundtrack for a sad, beautiful world.” After listening to the newest single, 10 Years (above) we can see that it’s a pretty fitting description indeed.

System Preferences can be purchased here.
