Smashing Pumpkins have announced that their first full album in more than five years, Oceania, will finally (and absolutely) street this June 19.

Released in newly-announced exclusive partnerships with EMI Label Services/Caroline Distribution in the U.S. and Universal Music in Canada, the forthcoming record is produced by front man Billy Corgan and mixed by three time Grammy Award-winner David Bottrill (TOOL, Muse).  As part of the band’s in-progress, 44-song project, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope (and artfully touted as “an album within an album”), Oceania clocks in at just over 60 minutes and comprises 13 new songs.

In conversation with MusicRadar.com last October, Corgan confidently claimed, “Oceania stands up with my best work…It will lead to new chapters for the band.”
